Money Money Money

Tis the season of spending money on material things. Everywhere you look, sales are happening or are going to be starting soon. People are going to be rushing to buy the latest and greatest things for their loved ones while they look at the things they would like to receive. While it is great to give to others, most people this time of year concentrate on the materials of this world rather than what should be most important.

"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world."

- 1 Yochanon (1 John) 2:16 Cepher
"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for Yahuah (Lord) has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you."

-Ivriym (Hebrews) 13:5 Cepher

We should be concentrating on Yah (Lord), His Word, and be content with what we have. There are times when I have struggled with this. I find myself seeing what others have and what I don’t. I have wished that I could have a better job with more pay, even wishing that I could just work from home and be with family all day. Money is not everything. The more you have, the more you can end up wanting. I pray that we all can be content with what we have, knowing that Yah will be there for us if we just seek Him.

Shalom

Thought Of The Day: 11/27/20

Today is known in America as Black Friday. In a normal year this is the day when people are out trying to get the best deals for their Christmas gifts. People are seen running crazy, fighting each other, and sadly I’ve seen items taken out of a non observant persons cart. It’s like the shopping scene from How The Grinch Stole Christmas with Jim Carrey. When looking at the people shopping you can see a lot of greed. Yes there are some who are just taking advantage of a great deal, but mostly it’s greed. Jesus tells us that we should not serve, or love, money. That in doing so we are not serving, or loving, God.

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
‭‭
- Matthew‬ ‭6:24‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Yes you need money to buy things to survive and yes there are some who have more than others but money and possessions are not to be our main focus. God wants us to love and to serve Him first and foremost. How can we do that when it comes to money? By blessing those who are less fortunate then us. While blessing them we can also share His Word and love with them. By doing this we are showing God love and putting Him first.

God Bless
