New Creation

"Therefore if any man be in Mashiach (Christ), he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

- 2 Qorintiym (2 Corinthians) 5:17 Cepher

We are coming upon the end of 2022 in the Gregorian calendar. This time of year, people tend to plan new year resolutions to get to better themselves in the coming year. One resolution that will truly better yourself is to read the Bible daily and pray to Yah (Lord) daily as well. As 2 Corinthians says you will be a new creation of you are in Mashiach (Christ), a better creation. Starting in January 1st, I will be reading a chapter from Psalms a day. Feel free to join me and read my comments each night from each chapter. I pray that we all can become new and better creations in Mashiach.

May 27/Sivan 7

Shabbat Shalom! Here are this Sabbath’s Torah readings:

  • Deuteronomy 16:9-17
  • Numbers 28:26-31
  • Habakkuk 2:20-3:19 (3:1-19)
  • 2 Corinthians 3

Today is day 2 of Shavuot (Feast Of Weeks). This marks the time when Yah (God) gave the Torah to Moses on Mt. Sinai. Shavuot goes from this past Thursday at sunset till Saturday at sunset. It is one of three times during the year when the Jews would travel to bring their tithe to Yah.

Today’s New Testament reading shows that through Yeshua (Jesus), we are able to have the Torah written on our hearts with the Spirit of Yah. Trust in Yeshua and be given freedom and everlasting life.

Shalom

"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."

-2 Corinthians 3:17 NIV

2 Corinthians 5:17

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"

- 2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV

When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior we become a “new creation” or “born again”. What does this mean? It means that we have been forgiven our sins and that Christ lives within us. We are filled with the Holy Spirit. Does this mean we are perfect? Absolutely not! But we do know right from wrong and we have the Holy Spirit to help us have the strength to make right decisions. I pray that if you have yet to accept Jesus in your life that you will make that next step and become a “new creation” in Christ.

Thought Of The Day: 02/01/21

Have you ever had whispering in your ear that you are not good enough or that your situation is all your fault? In the past I’ve had those thoughts. When seeing relatives get new vehicles or going on nice trips or getting new things for their house I have felt inadequate with only being able to provide the necessities. These whispers may sound like they are coming from you and hence help you to believe they are the truth but they only come from the Satan and they are nothing but lies. Satan will do his best to make you believe his lies but you need to look towards the Bible. He will disguise himself in order to help in your belief in these lies.

“And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.”
‭‭
- 2 Corinthians‬ ‭11:14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Look towards the Bible. Are these whispers or thoughts something that Jesus would tell you? If not then they are nothing but lies and you should not believe them. When we refuse to believe these lies we are weakening Satan’s power over our lives. We need to weaken his power over us and be filled with truth in the Jesus’ light. I pray that we can all do that and be a positive voice in the lives of others to help them with this as well.

Here is a great song that goes along with this. It’s called “Fear Is a Liar” by Zach Williams. Check it out here.

New Year New You

Tonight is the end of a crappy year. Riots, viruses, masks, lockdowns, among several other things. But we can start tomorrow making 2021 a better year for us, our family, our towns, our country. Having a relationship with Jesus can turn us into a new creation. A creation who cares for one another. A creation who can make this world a better place. I pray that every person around the world will look to Jesus this coming year and become a new creation in Christ.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
‭‭
- 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Thought Of The Day: 11/13/20

As humans we all sin. I’m guilty of having a temper sometimes and also holding a grudge and not letting things from the past go. Election season is probably the worst season for these things to come out in me. As followers of Christ we need to look to Him and put our old ways in the past.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
‭‭
- 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Does this mean that we won’t sin? Absolutely not! We are human so we will make mistakes. Being a new creation in Christ will help us to become a better person. I pray that we can all become new creations in Christ and become a better people.

God Bless
