The Real Ghostbuster

This weekend, the new Ghostbusters movie comes out. I had some music playing when at work, and the theme song to the Ghostbusters movies came on. I remember that though I had liked this song in the past, and it was still catchy, it might not be the best song to listen to.

(I feel that we should be careful with what we listen to and what we watch as things that promote demons can open the door for real demons to bring you fear or temptations to go farther into the stuff of darkness.)

As the song kept playing, I started changing the words to make it a better song. I like parody songs like the ones you hear from Weird Al or ApologetiX (a Christian parody group), so I will sometimes try to change the words of songs to be more Christian sounding. I ended up singing, “Who are you going to pray to? Yeshua (Jesus)! Who are you going to pray to? YHWH (God)!”. This then got me thinking that Yeshua is the real Ghostbuster as He had cast out lots of real demons during His ministry. When we feel scared or feel the presence of a demon, we should always pray for Yeshua and YHWH to protect us and say out loud, “I rebuke you in the Name of Yeshua!!”. Also, remember to do what it says to do in the book of Eph’siym (Ephesians).

"Put on the whole armor of Elohiym (God), that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in the high places."

-Eph'siym (Ephesians) 6:11-12 Cepher

Fathers of Greatness Podcast by Joseph Dalton

Are you a father, husband, or a man wanting to become better? Joseph Dalton’s podcast Fathers of Greatness will give you guidance, suggestions, and encouragement to become better. As fathers, we all want to be the best we can for our children and set them up for success. Like it says in Psalms, children are a gift from Yah (Lord), and as that gift, we should take care of them and give them the best we can offer. We need to know that they will make mistakes, but in our disciplining, we still need to continue to show them that they are loved. We need to help them to make the right choices and let them know the consequences if they choose not to do the right thing.

"Lo, children are a heritage of Yahuah (Lord): and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that has his quiver full of then: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate."

- Tehilliym (Psalms) 127:3-5 Cepher

We also need to not forget our wives. In Ephesians, we are told as husbands we need to love our wives as Yeshua (Jesus) loves the church. There can be times that life gets hard, and we can tend to argue with our wives or want to concentrate on just ourselves, but we need to remember to put them first above ourselves. They are a gift from Yah as well and our partners in life. If you have kids, they are also the mother of your kids who carried them for nine months. Help her to raise them by being there when you are home. Help show your children how to respect their mom so they can also be there for their future spouse.

"Men, love your women, even as Mashiach (Christ) also loved the called-out assembly, and gave Himself for it;... So ought men to love their women as their own bodies. He that loves his women loves himself."

-Eph'siym (Ephesians) 5:25,28 Cepher

Last but not least, we need to find fellow brothers to keep us accountable. Like it’s said in Joseph’s podcast, we need to have a brother who is stronger in their faith to help us grow, and we need to be in contact with a brother who is equal with us to help us stay the course. As we grow stronger in our faith, we need to then reach out to a brother who needs us to help them grow in their faith, making them mighty in Yah’s Word.

"Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as ye do."

- 1 Tasloniqiym (1 Thessalonians) 5:11 Cepher

Praying For Others

"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Ruach (Spirit), and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all qodeshiym (saints);"

- Eph'siym (Ephesians) 6:18 Cepher
"Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the Torah of Mashiach (Christ)."

- Galatiym (Galatians) 6:2 Cepher

Have you ever gone through a hard time all alone? It can be pretty tough to make it through, even if you’re praying all day to Yah (Lord) and trusting He will deliver. I have found that having a brother or sister in Mashiach (Christ) help pray with you can always bring more hope and encouragement knowing that another has your back. It’s also great to be able to, in return, help another when they are struggling. If you belong to a church consider joining the prayer team there or finding some brothers and sisters whom you can keep in contact with to share the good times and bad times with, study Yah’s Word with, and to pray with and for. This will help grow a community of fellow believers and you will have someone to always be there when you need it.

Ephesians 4:22-24

Thought Of The Day: 10/29/20

Ever have those days where your patience is tested? Those moments where you feel like you just can’t stand it anymore? That happened to me while at work. I’m waiting for a store employee to let me out of the receiving door in the back when they keep getting pulled here and there by other vendors and store employees even though I was there first. I have to say that it was hard to not just get upset and say that I was here first. Here is what the Bible has to say about that:

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”
‭‭
- Ephesians‬ ‭4:2‬ NIV

When looking at this verse you can see that we should be patient, humble, and loving. Though we may not get what we want right away, even when it’s our due time, we must remember to be patient. When you get to times where you need to use this remember to call on God to give you strength to be patient, humble, and loving. Jesus has this to say when dealing with others:

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

- John‬ ‭13:34-35‬ ‭NIV‬‬

If we learn to love our neighbors as ourselves then we will learn to be patient and kind to others. Though this can be hard and trying at times you can always look to God for strength in this and any other area.

God Bless
