Thankful

"Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of Elohiym (God) in Mashiach Yeshua (Christ Jesus) concerning you."

- 1 Tasloniqiym (1 Thessalonians) 5:16-18 Cepher

Today most people in America gathered around the table with family and ate a big turkey dinner, than maybe watched a football game. While the holiday may be Thanksgiving the only thanking most might have done is that they didn’t overstuff themselves to much. While it’s nice to get together with family and spend time talking about life we need to remember to give thanks to Yah (Lord) and Yeshua (Jesus) for all that They have given us. Praying and thanking Them everyday will help your faith grow, your relationship with the Father and Son grow, and help your days be better. I have found that the days I pray and read my Bible go better and I have a better attitude than the days I just wake up and get at the secular stuff of life. I pray that we can all pray everyday and be in the Word everyday.

New Years Resolution

This past Christmas my wife got me the את Cepher which translates to the “Devine Book”.

In this book there is the Bible with Hebrew names instead of English and includes writings from the Dead Sea Scrolls and books which had been taken out of the Bible. I have committed myself to seeing aside time each day to read from the את Cepher starting with Bere’shiyth (Genesis). I do have to say that because it’s written with the Hebrew names it takes longer to read so I’m getting through less each day so far. Hopefully over time it will get easier and I’ll grow in my relationship with God and grow in my faith.

Do you have any New Years Resolutions? Whatever you may have chosen to do I hope that this year you can do it and maybe even share God’s Love and Word while doing it. May your year be blessed in all things you do.

Thought Of The Day: 02/08/21

Last night was our first night for an online Bible study that I joined. We just did a quick meet and greet with it being Super Bowl night but I think it should be a great series. We will be going over Acts 29.

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
‭‭
- 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

With having been in somewhat isolation for the past year it’s been hard for people to have fellowship with one another and help build each other up. Being with other believers, even if it’s over Zoom, can help you to continue to grow in faith and feel encouraged. I’m hoping that being in this Bible study will help me to grow spiritually and meet some new fellow believers. Hopefully if you haven’t yet you can get together with other believers to do a study together.

Thought Of The Day: 12/04/20

“Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’””
‭‭
- Matthew‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We shall live by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Every morning first thing I read the verse of the day from the Bible app. I then have tried to make it a habit this past year to read some chapters from the Bible so I can hopefully read through it all by the end of the year. I do have to admit that I have failed some days to do that so I’ve spent other days catching up. The days that I do read the chapters I feel encouraged. Even though I’ve read the entire Bible several years ago I still find myself learning new things as I read it. I’m always learning and growing in Christ when I read the Bible. Here is what Paul has to say about God’s Word to Timothy.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
‭‭
- 2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Reading the Bible will equip us to do good work and to be able to share God’s Word with others. Learning and memorizing verses will help you be able to share them with others and maybe even help bring someone to Christ. I pray that you will make it a habit to be in the Word of God daily so you can grow in Christ as well.
